Anti-Money Laundering Statement
In accordance with Portuguese and European anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing legislation, we are required to carry out appropriate client identification and due diligence procedures in connection with real estate transactions.
As part of this process, we may request information and supporting documentation relating to a client’s identity, beneficial ownership, source of funds, source of wealth and, where applicable, corporate or ownership structures.
These checks form part of our legal and professional obligations and are designed to help ensure that property transactions are conducted transparently, securely and in compliance with applicable legislation.
Additional due diligence may be required for higher-value transactions, corporate or offshore ownership structures, politically exposed persons, or other circumstances considered to present an increased compliance risk.
All information and documentation provided for compliance purposes is handled confidentially and in accordance with applicable data protection requirements.
